An Interview with Vijayakriti and Paresh from TheDoubletdiary
Tell us a bit about yourself:
Hey there! We are Vijayakriti and Paresh, a scientist couple who are juggling between their 10 to 6 job and passion for travel and photography. We are documenting our travel experiences via blogs and Vlogs by the name ’thedoubletdiary’. Being scientists we just cannot stop using technical terms ( read bragging) and hence the name.

We started traveling together as soon as we started dating, and soon it became an indispensable part of our relationship. We traveled together to different places, from snow cladded mountains of Himalayas to quiet beaches of Gokarna, from white Desert of Rann to quaint villages of Arunachal Pradesh. And somewhere in between these trips we realized that together we form a great team. We always encourage each other to try something new and adventurous. We feel we become a better version of ourselves when we travel together. They say if you want to test your bond, travel together and we can safely say we hit a lottery in this case!
Currently we are exploring different parts of India, and wish to see every nook and corner of our beautiful country. While many couple travelers have made their mark in luxury travel, we are trying to make budget couple travel our niche and motto 🙂
What’s your biggest achievement as a Couple Travel Blogger?
For us real achievement lies in connecting with people. When we travel we make sure to live like locals, we consciously choose budget home stays to experience lifestyle and culture of a place firsthand. And we think somewhere this is evident in our social media presence. As an emerging travel blogger, we have high engagement rate on every social platform. Many of our pictures have garnered thousands of likes and are featured on renowned travel pages. Our posts have high engaging rate, however we believe these are just byproducts of following our heart.

How do you fund your travel?
We are into budget traveling; we mostly backpack across different places. We keep a part of our salary for travel and photography related expenses. 😉
Where is your favourite place in the world?
We love North -East India for its greenery, rich culture, and warm people. We have visited Majuli, Assam; Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh and Gangtok, Sikkim, till now and plan to visit other picturesque places super soon.
If you were not travelling what would you be doing instead?
Both of us have full time job, for us travelling is not an option but a conscious choice.

What has travel taught you?
Travel has made us humble and accommodating. By interacting with locals from different parts of India, we have realized that people are generally good, despite of language barrier and cultural differences, they go out of their way to help. Traveling has broadened our minds and filled our hearts with love.
Who, in your opinion, is the most successful couple travel blogger? and Why do you think that is?
We look upto Savy and Vid (bruisedpassports), for they are genuine and beautiful people inside out. We love their sense of writing and vibrant photographs.
