The Chicago Bears will not be a team that is featured in many NFL picks at BetUS during the 2022 season, but that’s not a knock on the city. Chicago is known as the Windy City, and that can definitely be the place during the fall and winter months.
You don’t even have to visit specific tourist attractions to have a great time in the city of Chicago, but there are plenty of good destinations. Forget about picking the Bears are the other Chicago teams at BetUS, and simply enjoy the sights and sounds of one of the biggest cities in the world.
Terrific Sports Stadiums
Chicago is one of the few cities in the United States that is home to a major professional sports team in all four sports. Not only are there some historic franchises in Windy City, but there are some iconic venues as well.
When you think of iconic stadiums in professional sports, Wrigley Field is always going to be at the top of the list. Catching a Cubs home game at Wrigley should be on your bucket list, but simply enjoying the Wrigleyville neighborhood is going to be a great experience as well.
The United Center is home to both the Black hawks and Bulls and that arena gets rocking when those teams are playing well. The United Center is no longer just an arena though as you will find some great eating, drinking, and shopping opportunities.
Michigan Avenue
“The Magnificent Mile” might sound like a race, but it’s actually the nickname of one of the top tourist destinations in the United States. This stretch of Michigan Avenue literally has everything that you could ever want when visiting the Windy City.
This is where you will find some of the top dining destinations in Chicago, and there are some great shopping options as well. The best time to take a walk down the “Magnificent Mile” is during the summer as you will be able to experience everything that there is to offer.
The Chicago River is also right in the heart of the city, and there are some great opportunities to tour the city by boat. If you ever find yourself in Chicago then you will want to make a stop or two on Michigan Avenue.
Terrific Parks
Even though the first thing that you will notice in Chicago are the massive skyscrapers and office buildings, this is also a city that is known for having some great parks. There are parks scattered all throughout the city, and visiting a park will give you a chance to relax and enjoy the scenery.
Millennium Park is probably the most famous park in the city of Chicago and that is where you will find “The Bean.” Cloud gate is the official name of this monument, and it’s one of the attractions in Chicago where you will see the most pictures taken.
Grant Park and Lincoln Park are two of the other popular parks in the city. Grant Park has been the host of many celebrations and Lincoln Park has a zoo that is one of the best in the country.
Love the Lake Life
There are actually some beaches in the city of Chicago as well, even though there is no ocean in sight. Chicago sits on the shores of Lake Michigan and there are beaches up and down the shoreline.
During the summer you will find plenty to do at one of the local beaches, and taking a sailboat ride in Lake Michigan provides a unique experience. If you aren’t able to be outdoors and enjoy the lake then you should still check out Navy Pier.
Navy Pier is more popular to visit when there are outdoor activities available, but you will find some great dining, shopping, and entertainment options indoors as well.
