Welcome back to Instatravelstyle! We covered the travel part last time, reminiscing about our breathtaking journey through the Andamans. Now, it’s time to focus on the other part: the style.Today, we’re going to explore the uniquely authentic designs from iToKri, that are ready to elevate your personal style to new heights.
Summer is making its presence felt with rising temperatures. In this scorching heat, breathable fabrics are a necessity for comfort, and for natural coolness and ease, nothing surpasses the gentle touch of 100% pure cotton.
And when it comes to finding truly exceptional cotton fabric, my mind immediately goes to iToKri. Why iToKri, you ask? My loyalty is built on two years of consistent satisfaction. In fact, I’ve even shared my positive experiences with their products on my blog before. And to truly demonstrate their enduring quality, let me share a two-year-old iToKri piece that still looks as good as new.

What truly impresses me about my iToKri cotton kurtis is their resilience – they’re as bright and fresh as when I first brought them home two years ago. You know how often cotton fabrics disappoint, quickly fading and losing their luster, which often limits their wear to a single season, making them unsuitable for anything beyond casual home wear. But my iToKri finds have proven different. This is the third summer I’m wearing them with pride! However, the enduring quality isn’t the only reason I’ve returned to iToKri ; their unparalleled variety is truly unmatched, something that’s not easy to find under one roof.
The wide variety of fabrics as well as the different crafts truly fascinates me. I hadn’t even heard of half of them before discovering iToKri. For example, they offer fabrics ranging from pure cotton to raw silk, Chanderi silk, Tussar silk, Linen, Mashru, Mulmul, and many more. When it comes to crafts, their selection includes Sanganeri Block prints, Bagh Block prints, Leheriya Tie and dye, Akola printing, Batik, Phulkari, Kutch weaving, Jamdani weaving, Kantha work, and the list goes on and on. It’s far too extensive to mention everything here.
So this time around, I picked out some seriously cool cotton fabrics with different prints and patterns. Honestly, it was tough to choose! As I already mentioned, they have such a huge variety and so many different crafts that I got totally confused. Figuring out what to get was so hard that I ended up going with the same craft as my previous purchase: Cotton Batik fabric. Let’s take a look at what I picked up, one by one.
Maroon – Hand Printed Cotton Batik Fabric
This 100% pure Cotton Batik fabric captivated me instantly with its vibrant colors and striking print. The magic lies in the Batik technique, this amazing way of using wax to resist dye on the fabric. They paint or stamp the melted wax onto the cloth using these cool copper stamps.

The piece I picked has this fantastic geometric pattern with such a beautiful mix of colors. I ordered it because it looked so good, but honestly, when I felt it? Wow! It’s so incredibly fine, it feels like butter – exactly what I wanted. The touch of this fabric against the skin is exceptionally smooth and comforting.I can already picture it as the comfiest Kurta or Salwar Kameez. You can just feel how breathable the cotton is, letting the air flow, which is so important in our Indian weather. It will be a reliable and cherished addition to our wardrobes.
Style Tip: You can use this fabric to create a unique scarf to pair with a plain cotton Kurti.
Maroon – Cotton Bagru Block Print fabric
Now we come to my next purchase, which is also a pure cotton fabric, but this time featuring a Bagru block print. Originating from Bagru, Rajasthan, as its name implies, this block printing technique involves a detailed process of washing, printing, dyeing with natural colors, boiling, and sun drying the fabric.

Like the previous fabric, this one also carries a sense of natural purity, just as a good cotton fabric should. It doesn’t feel rough, scratchy, or stiff. Although Bagru block prints come in various patterns, including floral, geometric, and even nature-inspired designs like stylized leaves and buds, I chose this simple yet beautiful print that I can easily wear to the office. Apart from this, I simply loved their floral prints.
It carries a strong sense of authenticity and heritage. Knowing that it was made by artisans using traditional methods and natural dyes adds significantly to its value and appeal. This truly sets them apart. This isn’t simply cloth; it’s a piece of our living artistic legacy.
Oh yes, and these fabrics are completely non-transparent and won’t shrink at all. ( I’ve already washed them, as I always do before giving fabric to the tailor to avoid any shrinkage after stitching.)
I’m sure these will look fantastic on me after I get them stitched. If you’re also looking for some truly cool fabrics or even ready-made kurtis, you really must try iToKri.You won’t be disappointed; I haven’t been.
And just before I sign off, a little confession: I also ended up buying these chai kulhads! (Multicolor – Ceramic Matt Tumblers Kullads) Whatever you call them, for me, these are my perfect chai kulhads for my evening tea.

It’s a habit, isn’t it? You just have to explore the other sections of the site, even if they have absolutely nothing to do with what you originally wanted. I simply couldn’t resist, and my wallet definitely felt it! Jokes apart. These are quite reasonable and finely made. So, if you’re thinking of trying other things like home decor or mugs and cups, iToKri has you covered. Happy exploring, but a friendly warning: proceed with caution, or you might find yourself spending a lot more than you intended, just like yours truly!
With this, I’ll sign off for today. We’ll be back again with another interesting review to keep you updated on what’s hot and what’s not.
